The 2023 Parade of Homes presented by The Aurora Highlands is proud to showcase the Painted Prairie community, where you’ll find one or more homes in close proximity to tour during the Parade. This Spotlight Community is a great way to see a variety of distinguished new homes and to get a real feel for an outstanding new community.
Painted Prairie: The National Community of the Year
Named Community of the Year nationally and in the Denver Metro area, Painted Prairie is a dynamic community located in Aurora, Colorado, specifically in one of the fastest growing areas of the greater Denver area. The community sits halfway between Denver’s International Airport and Anschutz Medical Campus, is directly across from the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center, and just over 15 miles from downtown Denver.
Painted Prairie is a community that feels different, and that’s because it is different. It’s a neo-traditional community, where unique streetscapes and outdoor living spaces for all neighbors are paramount, where you find different builders and various home styles all represented within a single street block. It’s also where you can enjoy more than 150 miles of continuous mountainscape vistas.
It’s where urban meets suburban, where you can walk out your front door to choose from seven different parks with over 30 acres of open space, numerous playgrounds, BBQ stations, community gardens, and shady picnic areas to enjoy and explore. We wanted to create beloved outdoor amenities where neighbors can meet and gather, to set up green connections that foster healthy movement, and to carve out unique spots where children from 0 to 100 can play outside.
Connectivity is key here, whether being linked to the community through a variety of ultimately walkable, bike-friendly streets, paths, and trails, or the social interactions you’ll have when meeting friends at the Town Center for a morning yoga class and cappuccino.
Upon completion, this incredible one-square mile community will include 3,400 residences, a Town Center featuring retail, restaurant, and residential space, and approximately 100 acres of open space for our neighbors to explore and enjoy.
