Home Builders Foundation

Building Independence. Elevating Lives.

The Home Builders Foundation is the charity of choice of the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver. Founded in 1993 by leaders in the homebuilding industry, the foundation's mission is to build independence, provide opportunities, and elevate lives for individuals and families with disabilities in the community. Through this longstanding partnership, HBA members use their expertise, resources and generosity to make a meaningful difference for neighbors across the Denver metro area, including building home accessibility modifications that help people live safely and independently.

What does the Home Builders Foundation do?

The Home Builders Foundation designs and builds accessible home modifications that increase safety, mobility, and independence. Projects may include ramps, grab bars, widened doorways, accessible bathrooms, flooring, and other essential improvements personalized to each client’s needs. With the support of builders, remodelers, trade professionals, suppliers, volunteers, and donors, these modifications are completed at no cost to clients.

Together, the Home Builders Foundation and HBA members transform industry expertise into lasting community impact. Whether contributing skilled labor, materials, funding, or time, every partner helps turn obstacles into open doors and ensures that more people can feel safe and independent at home.
